Effective Wednesday, October 17, 2007

The student drop off lane will only be used in the afternoon by Daycare Companies who pick up students at Bennett Elementary School. Transportation has added another bus (our 13th!) and we no longer can fit all buses and daycare vans into our bus lane. This will ensure our students are dismissed safely, on time and leave the building in a timely manner. All parents should find a parking place and come into the school to sign out your child(ren) and wait on the grass at the front door for dismissal.

Global Exchange -
Fourth graders at Bennett Elementary partnered with a school in Japan on a project that focused on science, but opened the door to cultural exchange. Via internet video conferences, the students shared information related to their shared project and learned about each other's customs and traditions. The project was funded by an award from the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund.
