The PTO is a volunteer organization made up of parents and staff working in association with the school administration to provide a positive and rewarding experience for our kids.  There are opportunities for participation in many different areas - whether you like to be in front of the crowd or behind the scenes - your helping hands are always appreciated.  Be in the lookout for special event flyers during the school year.

The objectives of the PTO are:

• To promote greater parental interest and involvement in the school.

• To improve the lines of communication and cooperation between parents, teachers and students.

• To promote and develop the welfare and education of children in the home, school and community.

• To encourage and develop volunteer resources among parents and the community-at-large to assist, supplement, and enrich the multi-faceted school experience for our children.

• To raise funds to support and enhance the educational program at Bennett Elementary.

In order to accomplish its goals the PTO sponsors many fun and exciting events for the school community.  Some of Bennett's favorites are:

• Fall harvest Party

• Holiday Breakfast

• Spring Fair

• Talent Show

• Family Fun Nights

• Special Programs - Assemblies

• Bennett Bear Shop

• PTO Meetings with special guest speakers

The PTO provides educational support to the school in the form of supplemental funds for each classroom teacher, music, library, physical education, science, technology, LD, art, reading, speech, guidance, DARE and lots more!  PTO volunteers coordinate programs which directly benefit the school such as the Campbell Soup Labels for Education, the General Mills Box Top program and the Giant A+ Bonus Bucks campaign.
