Professional Learnings Catalog

Teachers and administrators have the opportunity to register online for Professional Development Offerings through the Professional Learnings Catalog. All professional development registration must be completed online. Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There are district level and job specific professional development requirements. For example, K-2 teachers are required to attend training sessions for Math Investigations. To find requirements for your level and/or job, select Teacher Requirements and then choose the appropriate level. Each level will list the course title and course number for each requirement. Access the online catalog to register for each required course.

Recertification points are awarded for all offerings in the online catalog. However, some professional development sessions offered are two or three-hour after-school workshops. Because these activities are not at least five hours in length, they do not in and of themselves qualify for state recertification points. However, when these offerings are combined with other offerings in the same sequence to equal or exceed five hours, then state recertification points may be awarded. These groupings will be stated in the course description. The Record of Points for License Renewal is used to record and verify completion of the 180 points for recertification. The evaluator must approve and certify that professional development activities comply with state and county recertification regulations. Teachers are responsible for maintaining their documentation for recertification.

Each school has a representative who has been trained in how to access and use the online catalog. The school representative is the first person to contact when problems arise. The representative for each school is listed.  Direct questions or concerns regarding an individual course or session to the contact person listed or the department offering the course.
