Our school division offers a number of college courses, conferences, and institutes to our employees. These offerings are listed in the online catalog.
Employees who wish to take a college course need to check the eligibility and pre-requisite requirements for that course. This is clearly stated as part of the course description.
As a benefit to its employees, PWCS pays for many college courses, conferences, and institutes. However, these offerings are increasingly more expensive. Therefore, it has become necessary to alert those who register for any offering paid for by Prince William County Public Schools that if he/she is unable to attend, the registrant must use the online professional development catalog to drop the offering. This must occur no later than 1 week prior to the first occurrence.
Registrants who fail a college course or who fail to drop any offering during the allotted time will no longer be allowed to register for any courses, conferences, and/or institutes paid for by the Office of Student Learning and Accountability.
Anyone deciding not to attend a course must drop the class immediately using the online catalog. This is a professional courtesy to wait listed registrants.
