Music is an integral part of humanity and is therefore an essential part of education.  It serves as a vehicle for enjoyment and personal expression through which cultural heritage is passed on to each generation.  Each student will have opportunities to perform, create, investigate, and connect music of many cultures, styles, and historical periods.
