What's going on.......... Pennington school students are learning about instrument families and how to write the rhythms they have been performing this month. It's all about music literacy!

Mission Statement

Music is an integral part of humanity and is therefore an essential part of education. It serves as a vehicle for enjoyment and personal expression through which cultural heritage is passed on to each generation. Each student will have opportunities to perform, create, investigate, and connect music of many cultures, styles, and historical periods. Through music education, our students will obtain skills necessary to develop and use their musical creativity and talent to the fullest of their capabilities. This will enrich their lives and the lives of others as they share their music. As they study music, students will learn to think, solve problems and communicate as they work toward a common goal. The knowledge of music empowers students to contribute to society and to respect and appreciate cultural similarities and differences.
