The PWCS Professional Media Library contains non-print instructional materials and houses videocassettes, CDs, and DVDs used for professional staff development or classroom instruction. The materials are available to PWCS teachers and staff.  

There is a new online catalog for the PWCS Professional Media Library, and it has a new web address: http://stafflib.pwcs.edu. Please change your bookmark to locate the catalog at this address. Contact the Professional Library, 703.791.7334 if you need assistance in using the catalog or if you have any questions about the new site.

The Professional Media Library is located at the Prince William County Public Schools Administrative Complex (Building 50), 14800 Joplin Road, Manassas, VA 20112.

At present, bookings are done through the School Library or by contacting the Professional Library by email or phone, 703.791.7334.

Instructional videos that are part of the Family Life Curriculum are also housed in the Professional Media Library.  Some materials carry a “FL” tag and are restricted to the teachers assigned to teach these classes. The GRADE LEVELS are coded with the single letter codes:

• P = Primary
• I = Intermediate
• M = Middle
• S = Senior

It is recommended that teachers preview all materials before using them in the classroom.

Because of the scope of the lending operation, it is important that materials be used and returned when scheduled.  Questions or requests for special bookings and extensions should be addressed to Angie Sowers by phone 703.791.7334  or email.

Return materials to your school pick up point by closing of the SHOWING DATE to ensure prompt return to the Professional Media Library for shipment to the next booking.  If schools open late due to inclement weather, the couriers run at  the regular time. Your return materials must be ready for pick-up on the morning of the return date.
