Summer Reading Program
The purpose
of the
Summer Reading Program is to encourage students to enjoy quality
literature and to continue developing their independent reading skills.
Student
participation in the program is voluntary. Students who choose to
participate
in the program are required to complete a minimum number of readings
over the
summer. Below are some suggested titles for summer
reading.
Student-selected books are also acceptable. Participation in
Summer Quest
at the local public library is also acceptable.

this a favorite. |
Students who participate in the Prince William County Public Library
Summer
Quest Program may use that documentation or the above suggestions.
Explanation
of Extra
Credit
Students in Grades K - 2 will receive an S+ for each
book
completed, for a total of five. Extra credit will count 10% of
the
student's grade in the affected marking period.
