UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

PWCS Annual United Way Campaign – A Resounding Success!

Once again, Prince William County Schools participated in the annual United Way Campaign drive where PWCS employees could make a direct contribution or enroll to have a regular donation deducted from their payrolls. Thanks to the hard work and diligence of more than 100 School Division volunteers, PWCS’ contribution to the United Way rang in at $135,221 for the year. That’s an impressive 21% increase over last year’s total!

“I thank my School Division colleagues for your willingness to participate in this year's United Way campaign. Through your contributions, the entire School Division will benefit from supporting the community in which we live and work,” says Keith Imon, Associate Superintendent for Communications and Technology Services. His department was responsible for heading up the campaign this year.

The United Way of the National Capital Area coordinates one of the largest annual fundraising campaigns in the country. The campaign disperses millions of dollars to more than 900 nonprofit partners that provide health and human programs to Washington area residents. The campaign also includes nine Community Impact Funds, which work to solve complex social issues by directing funds to the most critical areas of need.
