  Mouse Counting  Ten mice outsmart a hungry snake
  Jan Brett  Any title by Jan Brett
 Read to Your Bunny Brief rhyming text and colorful illustrations tell what happens when parents and children share 20 minutes a day read.
 Six Little Ducks  A retelling of the nursery song about six little ducks who go to market with a quack, quack, quack.
 Arroz Con Leche  A bilingual collection of Latin-American songs and rhymes in both English and some songs.
 Snowballs  A group of children create a family out of snow.  Includes labeled pictures of the items used and information on how snow is formed.  Sure to cool off a hot summer day. 
Numbears or Alphabears Bears introduce the numbers and the alphabet.
M & M Counting Book This yummy counting book teaches numbers one through 12, six colors and three primary shapes.
 Dr. Suess Any title by Dr.Suess.
Richard Scarry’s Best Mother Goose Ever or other Mother Goose titles An anthology of classic nursery rhymes, illustrated with Mr. Scarry’s lovable critters.
Sheep In a Jeep This humorous rhyming book narrates the adventures of a sheep in an old red jeep.  Also see Sheep on a Ship, Sheep out to Eat, and Sheep in a Shop.
The Crayon Counting Book Rhyming text use crayon of different colors to teach counting, first by even numbers and then odd.
Big Fat Hen Big fat hen counts to ten with her friends and all their chicks.

 If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Follow a little boy and a mouse to find out what happens if you give a cookie to a mouse! 
It Looked Like Spilt Milk This book encouraged children to use their imaginations.
Caps for Sale Here is a humorous tale of a peddler, his caps, and the monkeys who take his caps while he is napping.

Any Magic Tree House Travel through time with Jack and Annie as they learn about some our most memorable historical events.
The American Girl collection  The books in this collection tell the stories of five American girls who lived long ago.  Felicity lives in colonial times, Kirsten is a pioneer, Addy lives in the midst of the Civil War, Samantha lives during  Victorian times and Molly’s story takes place during World War II.  R.L. 3-5. 
A New True Book Series A collection of informational books that answers kids questions on a variety of subjects from animals to sports.  R.L. 2-4
