Keith Imon was appointed Associate Superintendent for Communications and Technology Services for Prince William County Public Schools in July 2005. Mr. Imon was born in Buffalo, New York and earned undergraduate degrees from the University of Buffalo and Buffalo State College. Most recently, he served as Assistant Superintendent of the Department of Communication and Technology in Greece (suburban Rochester), New York, where he had worked since 1990. From 1976 to 1990, Mr. Imon was in San Antonio, Texas, where he taught third grade in the Judson Independent School District, directed a teacher center at the Region 20 Education Service Center, and led the educational technology department for the Northside Independent School District - one of the largest in Texas.

Mr. Imon received his master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1980. He is a former member of the Board of Directors and President-elect of the Texas Computer Association. Mr. Imon has presented at international, national, and state conferences and under his leadership, the work of his staff in both New York and Virginia have been recognized for excellence in communications.

Keith J. Johnson joined Prince William County Public Schools in July of 2005 as the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources. Mr. Johnson began his career as an elementary school teacher with the Baltimore County Public Schools, Maryland in 1977. During his career, he was an elementary school teacher, elementary school assistant principal, and an elementary school principal prior to his move into Human Resources as a Personnel Officer in 1993 for the Baltimore County Public School system. Prior to Mr. Johnson's experience in Prince William County, he served as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Staff Relations in the Greece Central School District, Greece, NY from December 1998 to 2005.

A native of Powhatan, Virginia, he received his Bachelor's degree from Coppin State University, going on to obtain his Master's degree from Morgan State University, and has attended the University of Rochester for post graduate schooling. Mr. Johnson is a former president of the Johns Hopkins University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International, and he has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Maryland State Teachers' Association. He has served as the Professional Development Chair for the American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years.

Ms. Pam Gauch has served as Associate Superintendent of Student Learning and Accountability (previously Instruction) since 1997.  She began her career in Prince William County Public Schools in 1984 as a French and English teacher at Woodbridge Middle School.  From 1988 to 1991 she served as an administrative coordinator for staff development and trained both teachers and administrators in Effective Schools Research, Total Quality Management, School-Based Management, and the Enhanced Instructional Process.  She served as assistant principal and principal of Saunders Middle School from 1991 to 1997. Ms. Gauch has presented nationally and internationally on School-Based Management, Curriculum Mapping, and Strategic Planning. Ms. Gauch graduated with a bachelor’s degree in both English and French from Brigham Young University and earned a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from George Mason University.  She is currently completing work on her Doctorate Degree in Education Policy and Leadership at Virginia Tech.


Mr. Wayne Mallard
is currently acting in the capacity of Interim Associate Superintendent for Student Learning and Accountability. Prior to his 2006 retirement, Mr. Mallard served as Deputy Superintendent, Associate Superintendent for Management, and Area II Associate Superintendent. From 1990 through 1999, he was Principal at Hylton Senior High School. Mr. Mallard has served many roles within Prince William County Public Schools during his career. He was an Assistant Principal for both Potomac Senior High School and Woodbridge Senior High School, a guidance counselor for Woodbridge Senior High School, and he began his career as a Marketing teacher at Gar-Field High School in 1969. Mr. Mallard holds a Master of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a major in Marketing from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

 

Mr. Kris Pedersen was appointed Area III Associate Superintendent in July 1995 and served in that capacity until his retirement in June 2004. Since retirement, he has worked on a temporary basis directing planning, organization, administration and management of the elementary, middle, and high schools assigned to the Area II and Area IV division of Prince William County Schools as the “Acting Associate Superintendent." Most recently, Mr. Pedersen was the "Acting Principal" of Gar-Field Senior High School in the fall of 2007 during the current principal's temporary absence. Since joining the school division in 1971, Mr. Pedersen has been a science teacher, assistant principal, principal, science supervisor, math supervisor, and member of the superintendent’s executive staff. His notable experiences include being the Project Director of the Virginia Department of Education’s initial effort to develop the Standards of Learning for Science and Director of the Virginia Focus Group for the National Science Education Standards. He has also served on the state textbook adoption committee for science, establishing evaluation criteria for the selection of texts. He was Executive Director of the Prince William County Public Schools Education Foundation and has served on the boards of a number of organizations including Treasurer of the Virginia Science Supervisors Association; Associate Director for the Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Board of Directors for the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Mr. Pedersen graduated in 1968 from Virginia Tech with a degree in Biology. He later attained a Master's degree in Science Education with endorsements in school administration.

Mr. Cline was appointed Associate Superintendent for Finance and Support Services in July 2008. He began his career with PWCS in 1989 as Director of Financial Services supervising the Offices of Budget, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Audit, Payroll, Student Activity Funds, Purchasing, Warehouse, Inventory, Courier, and Mail Services. During his tenure, the School Division has received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) every year since 1998 for the School Division’s annual budget document. In 2002, Mr. Cline initiated the “Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Prince William County Public Schools,” which has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association and by ASBO with Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for each succeeding year. In 1996, he was awarded the Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Achievement in the school business management profession by ASBO.

Mr. Cline graduated with honors from the United States Coast Guard Academy and earned a master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Investments from George Washington University.
