Young children in costumes attend Trunk-or-Treat at Patriot HSIn anticipation of the Halloween holiday, the Patriot High School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) hosted the first annual cross-club/curricular Trunk-or-Treat event for children in the surrounding community. Turnout was great as several hundred little trick-or-treaters attended and gave rave reviews.

More than 25 Patriot High classes, clubs, and teams participated in the event by decorating their trunks with fun themes and providing candy for the children. FCCLA vice president of communications Jay Francis advertised the free event to local elementary schools in keeping with the theme: FCCLA is building commUNITY.
