Prior to assuming her role as the coordinator for Student Health Services, Bellamy was the school nurse at Forest Park High School.

Bellamy also serves as a gubernatorial appointee on the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. Bellamy is a National Board-Certified School Nurse, and she works collaboratively with the supervisor of Student Health Services to provide supervision and guidance to 103 school nurses in PWCS.

As the president of VASN, Bellamy has an ambitious agenda for student health services throughout the Commonwealth, notably supporting PWCS’ Legislative Priorities, including one nurse to 550 students, and supporting legislation to include school nurses in the Standards of Quality.

“Gina is truly an asset to student health and the Office of Student Services,” said Teresa Polk, supervisor of Student Health Services. “We are proud to have her on our team and look forward to the contributions she will make to supporting school nurses in Virginia and advancing the efforts of VASN to promote the health and academic success of Virginia’s children and youth.”
