PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Title I is a federal grant program designed to give educational assistance to students living in areas of high poverty. Title I provides money to school districts around the country based on the number of low-income families in the district. Each school district uses its Title I funds to pay for extra educational services for children who are behind in school.
