Summer Reading Program

In an effort to encourage summer reading, Lake Ridge Elementary is adding something new to our summer reading program.  Students took home an “ice cream cone” reading log to track their summer reading progress.  Each time a book is read, the student gets to color in one of the ice cream cones.  When children return to school in the fall, those students with a completed log will receive a cool treat!  Any books read for our new program will also be accepted for Prince William County Schools’ traditional reading incentive as well as Chinn Library’s Summer Quest.  We hope our students spend many happy hours reading.
