NEW! Online kindergarten registration is anticipated to open by April. Children who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2020, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in Prince William County Public Schools for the 2020-21 school year.

In-person verification is still required if registration is completed online. Registration and verification for eligible students will be held at PWCS elementary schools on Thursday, April 2, or Thursday, April 16. Parents should contact the school their child will attend for specific registration times. Find your school.

Children who do not meet the age requirement for kindergarten will not be enrolled in kindergarten or assessed for placement in kindergarten in PWCS.

Children who speak or understand a language other than American English should participate in an English language evaluation, which can be scheduled through the Global Welcome Centers (formerly Central Registration Services) at:

  • Global Welcome Center - Manassas Campus, located on the grounds of Stonewall Middle School, 10100 Lomond Drive, Manassas. The phone number is 571-402-3800.
  • Global Welcome Center - Woodbridge Campus, located on the grounds of Rippon Middle School, 15111 Blackburn Road, Woodbridge. The phone number is 571-374-6813.

After April 16, instead of registering at their local school, English learners will be registered and evaluated at a Global Welcome Center site. Parents should call one of the Global Welcome Centers to schedule an appointment.
