| ABOUT BENNETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | |
The original Bennett Elementary building was constructed in 1908 and still stands today. The school takes its name from the original landowner, Dr. Maitland C. Bennett. In 1969, a "new Bennett" was built on Stonewall Road. In the fall of 1996, the third and current building was opened and today continues to serve excellence in education. |

| SPECIAL PROGRAMS | |

Bennett is home to a Center-based SIGNET Program which provides gifted services to eligible Bennett students as well as those from four other elementary schools. Classroom teachers are supported by specialists from special education, gifted/talented, group and individual counseling, art, music, physical education, and information management and techology skills development. |
| ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES | |
Bennett boasts a unique math/science enrichment program for all students K-5 to offer extended and enhanced lessons in the two content areas. Additionally, the school provides extra physical education classes for students to improve fitness and promote wellness. Bennett also conducts a grade-level music program throughout the school year and offers an extensive Science Fair and Art Expo yearly.
