| ABOUT RIVER OAKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL |
The first bells at River Oaks Elementary rang in September 1990, and children from three communities became one family. Over the years the enrollment increased and communities grew, but from that day to this, the staff has been committed to the education of our students.

PEP (Parents as Educational Partners) for ESOL parents, Authors Night, Math Night, Science Night, Reading Night, SOL Night, Pep Rally for SOL, Morning Enrichment Program, Saturday SOL review classes and Student Council Association (SCA). |
| OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENT & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT |

They also help at Multicultural Day, Field Day, Retro Night, at Book Fairs, in the Resource Speakers Program, and at a number of other events. Our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers assist by reading with students from several classrooms.
