Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary School was named after Elizabeth Vaughan, a teacher and principal in Prince William County Schools from 1925 to 1947. The school was opened in 1965.
Vaughan Elementary School receives students from a variety of communities: including, Navy Housing, Lakeside, Rollingwood, Elm Farm, Longview/Matthews, Forest Vista, Caton Hill, Summerland Heights/Gableridge, Horner Road/Gar-Field Place, and Several Area Day Cares.
Special programs offered are Compass Learning, Writing Pictures, and 8 Step Process.
Enrichment programs include Saturday Strategic Learning Institute and Early Bird Catches the Learn.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Parent Advisory Council (PAC), Saturday Strategic Learning Institute.
Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary is a fully accredited “School of Excellence” because learning is not an option, it is required!
