ABOUT LEESYLVANIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Leesylvania Elementary School opened its doors in September 1996. Leesylvania is located on land once owned by "Light-Horse Harry" Lee. Leesylvania replaced Rippon Elementary School.
COMMUNITIES SERVED
The Landings, Montham's Grant, Rippon Landing, Newport Estates, Harbors of Newport, Dawsons Landing, Riverside Station, Winslow Chase, and Cambridge Square.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
We currently have 1 grade level of Spanish Immersion. We are featuring a business partnership at Kaiser Permenante with a focus on making healthy choices. Effective March 5, 2007, Leesylvania will partner with BB&T to offer student banking to our fourth grade students.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS & EXTRACURRICULUR ACTIVITIES
Enrichment programs include Fifth Grade Strings, All County chorus, Presidential physical fitness in grades four and five. Extra-curricular activities include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, SCA, and Safety Patrols.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENT & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
PTO, Parent Advisory Council, Parent Volunteer Program.
