| ABOUT ELLIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | |
| Ellis Elementary was named after Suella Gilbert Ellis, who was the first African-American administrator in Prince William County. The school opened in the fall of 2004 and grew in enrollment from 525 students to 750 by the first school year's end. Boundary changes adjusted the enrollment for future years. | |

Wellington residents, Independence residents, Regency Apartments, Bristow Village, and communities off Sudley Manor Drive and Ashton Avenue. |

| SPECIAL PROGRAMS | |
Ellis Elementary has been designated as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) school and is also practicing as a Baldrige in Education school. Ellis also implements the Olweus Bullying Prevention program.

The school's vision is to be a community of constructivists who are responsible, life-long learners with high expectations for all. Visitors can walk through the school and see and feel the vision being modeled by students and staff alike. |
