WSHS Production of Our Town Making theatre magic takes long hours and lots and lots of hard work and determination. There are rewards for the hard work and effort that goes into each and every aspect of a theatrical production. The students at Woodbridge High School held performances that earned them a prestigious Cappie Award Nomination in two categories.

Woodbridge High School’s production of “Our Town” has earned the following students Cappie Award nominations: Ella Baumann, Mark Gonzales, and Sadie Sullivan (original soundscape) for “Creativity”, and Miriam Elhadidi for “Best Supporting Actress in a Play.”

The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a student program through which high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers like The Washington Post.

At the end of the year, the student critics vote for awards that are presented at a formal Cappies Gala, which will be held this year on June 10 at 7 p.m. at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
