More than a dozen employees of Lowe’s Home Improvement Store #1602 in Woodbridge rolled up their sleeves on a bright and sunny Saturday in September to give Fred Lynn Middle School students an updated greenhouse, butterfly garden, and colorful landscaping. The local HEROES Partnership Project to benefit the school was funded through a grant of $2,500 from Lowe’s Corporation. (See photo gallery below.)

Those facilitating the project include the store’s Manager, Jeremy Beasley; Human Resources Manager Kara Stead; Human Resources Coordinator Bill Reid (former PWCS principal); School Board member Lillie Jessie (Occoquan); and Sharon Henry, PWCS supervisor for Community and Business Engagement.

Fred Lynn Middle School is on a journey toward excellence; every bit of attention and support from the community matters and is a vote of confidence in the students and staff. The school's "Hornets" will feel the energy from Lowe’s HEROES for months to come.
