Marumsco Hills Elementary School is hoping to earn a $10,000 grant while promoting health and fitness by participating in the Fourth Annual Draft Day Dash, hosted by the Washington Redskins on April 28, at FedEx Field. Marumsco Hills Elementary is the only school in Prince William County Schools participating at this time.

“We believe that a healthy lifestyle goes hand in hand with a world-class education,” said Principal Meisram Hernandez. “MHES is participating in the Redskins 5K Dash to encourage and promote health and fitness in our school, community, and our division. We invite everyone to join in on the fun.”

The event features a 5K race for all ages and a post-race party that includes autograph sessions with Redskins players and cheerleaders, a tour of the locker room, and family-friendly games on the field. The school with the most participants will receive a $10,000 grant. Second place winners earn $7,500; and third place earns $5,000. Participants can save $10 by registering with a school.
