Benton Middle School Geography Bee participantsZachary Gruninger, a seventh-grader at Ronald Reagan Middle School and Levi Fox, an eighth-grader at Benton Middle School represented PWCS in the Virginia finals of the National Geographic Bee. They were among only 105 students who qualified for the statewide competition. They earned a place in the state competition by winning their school event and performing well at the county competition.

The National Geographic Society developed the National Geographic Bee in 1989 in response to concern about the lack of geographic knowledge among young people in the United States. Everyone can test their geography knowledge with the exciting Geo Bee Quiz, an online geography quiz which poses 10 new questions a day.
