School Board Names Delegates to Professional Organizations and Committees

In accordance with Board Policy 180, the Prince William County School Board takes action annually regarding membership in professional organizations and selection of Board representatives to each organization.

At its January 3 meeting, the Board approved the following actions and appointments for organizations/committees as follows:

  • Continue membership in the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) for 2018. 
  • Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as delegate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 14–16, 2018. 
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 14–16, 2018.  
  • William Deutch (Coles) as delegate to the National School Boards Association Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas on April 7-9, 2018.
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the National School Boards Association Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas on April 7-9, 2018. 
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) as representative to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2018.
  • Gil Trenum (Brentsville) as alternate to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2018.  
  • Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) as representative to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2018.  
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2018.  
  • Chairman Ryan Sawyers as representative to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2018.  
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) as alternate to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2018.  
  • Gil Trenum (Brentsville) to serve as representative to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2018.  
  • Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) to serve as alternate to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2018.  
  • Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) to serve as representative to the Head Start Advisory Board for 2018.  
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) to serve as representative to the School Health Advisory Board for 2018.  
  • Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) and Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve on the Safe Schools Advisory Council for 2018.  
  • Chairman At-Large Ryan Sawyers and Loree Williams (Woodbridge) to serve as representatives to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2018.  
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve as alternate to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2018.
