PWCS Students at State Science Fair

Joshua Smith, a student at Forest Park High School and The Governor's School @ Innovation Park, took second place  in the "Physics and Astronomy" category at the Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair (VSSEF). Sean and Rosa Bouchery, students at Osbourn Park High School, were awarded third place in the "Chemistry" category. The students are among 10 first place finalists in the 2018 Prince William-Manassas Regional Science and Engineering Fair who were eligible to take their projects to Virginia Tech for the state competition.

"VSSEF was a great opportunity to talk to other bright scientists and learn about their research," said Smith. Smith's message to students is "to not fear failure; rather, to accept it and learn from it, regardless of the result."

Congratulations to all participants on a job well done!
