Q: Where is the PWCS Aquatics Center located?
A: The Aquatics Center (PDF) is located on the campus of Colgan High School (13833 Dumfries Rd., Manassas, VA 20112). Our main entrance is directly across from the stadium on the east side of the campus (door #25).

A: The Aquatics Center is open to the public seven days a week! Operating hours and fees can be found here.
Q: When did the new Aquatics Center open?
A: The grand opening for the PWCS Aquatics Center was September 10, 2016.
Q: Is the pool 50 meters long?
A: No, however the Aquatics Center has two pools: a competition pool and a leisure pool. The competition pool is available for lap swimming, swim practices, swim meets, and diving (on two 1 meter boards). This pool is longer than traditional 25 yard pools, and a movable bulkhead provides the flexibility for numerous configurations. Several competition configurations have been USA Swimming certified. The leisure pool has a splash and play feature in the shallow area with spray rings and dump buckets. There is also a 150' water slide that's over 20' tall!
Q: Is the new Aquatics Center able to host swim meets?
A: Yes, the pool has a state-of-the-art aquatic timing system with touchpads and a video scoreboard! For the 2016-17 high school swim season (our first with the new Aquatics Center), we hosted 20 events for a total of 6,325 entries!
Q: How many lanes does the Aquatics Center have?
A: It depends on the configuration of the movable bulkhead and lane lines, but there are various 25 yard and 25 meter configurations possible. The maximum number of lanes possible in a 25 yard configuration is 15.
